GREATER CONTROL

The DSI Contract Writing solution offers user-friendly guidance to help contracting practitioners gain greater control of their work. Dynamic question-and-answer dialog sessions automate and accelerate document generation, guiding a user through the entire document creation process, and inserting clauses or provisions based on the user’s answers. The solution can create templates from existing documents for future use.

GREATER VISIBILITY

DSI’s Contract Writing solution provides real-time views in addition to custom reporting on a wide range of information contained with the solution. Views allow for greater situational awareness and enable management to quickly identify issues or trends before they are problems. The solution also provides intuitive access to awards and all related modification information, including change history tracking. The solution’s virtual “briefcase” is a central repository for all contract files, and contracting officers and contract specialists can view information per file, as well as when files were added, modified, or deleted. The solution’s Contract Instrument Summary allows users to access and view awards with all associated modifications and orders. Contracting officers and contract specialists can then view various award line items, including aggregate data summaries and additional details by item.

GREATER COMPLIANCE

DSI’s Contract Writing solution automates the creation of FAR/DFARS compliant contracts and other acquisition documents. The solution’s automated document generation provides customers with a safety net that ensures and enforces uniform regulatory compliance, currency, and accuracy at a document level. DSI recognizes that merely providing clause text and templates is no longer sufficient for 21st Century procurement, and our document management capabilities go well beyond the simple use of standard templates. DSI’s solution provides interpretive business logic based on the FAR, agency supplements, such as the General Services Administration Acquisition Regulation (GSAR), and local policy directives. This business logic is accessible to end-users through the solution’s unique interactive dialog sessions, which automate and standardize the document generation process. This powerful capability allows contracting officers and contract specialists to easily create and publish FAR/DFARS compliant contracts while having the flexibility to update documents when there are changes to the regulations. Through built-in, automated logic and process support, our unique knowledge-enabled document generation tools automate and standardize the contract writing process, and can be tailored to an organization's specific business process and compliance needs.
